Kelly Leask, Board Member and Manager of Prairie Originals,  will present on 'Wildflowers in the Garden - Perfectly Adapted Perennials'.

Explore the adaptations that native plants have developed to survive in our climate and why they are well suited for gardening and landscaping. She will touch on hardiness and adaptations to cold (including seed dormancy and tips for growing wildflowers from seed), drought/flood tolerance, pest resistance, and relationships with beneficial insects. She will include examples of native plants that are beautiful and interesting with growth habits that work well in flower gardens.
